Weird.
I got home after a dangerous ride home and found a message on my answering machine. The person said 'Hi this is a call for Matt K*****, I'm calling becuase the property insurance for (insert greek frat letters here) expires on October 6 and we should get to work on that before it expires."
Ohh-kayyy. I scratch my head for a moment but put it out of my mind.
Later than evening the phone rings.
"Hello"
"hi! Matt?"
"Yes."
"This is Scott _____"
"OK"
"Yeah, I'm calling about the property insurance for (greek letters)"
"the what?"
"The property insurance for (greek letters)"
"Uhh, what was that for" (at this point I am searching my brain for something relevant. I've been caught flatfooted before)
"The fraternity, (greek letters)"
"errr"
"Aren't you in (greek letters)"
"no. I've never been in a Fraternity."
"This is Matt K_____. right"
"Yes, but its pronounced K_____"
"Uh, and you live on Green St.?"
"Yes, but I've never been in a fraternity."
"That's odd...Green street in Manyunk, right"
"No, that's Green Lane, I'm on Green St. in Fairmount."
"Oh weird, theres another Matt K______?"
"There aren't too many of us."
"Oh man..."
It went on from there. But the gist of it is: There is another MK in town.

You can never have enough.
But here's what's truly scary: he's a fratboy.
Ugh.
More than one person with the same name?
Impossible!
My last name is not exactly common, my dear Abby. What's scarier is that every person born with that last name (in the US) is likely a distant cousin of mine.
I knew of one other MK, via ego surfing, but I thought he was elsewhere.
Oh, and everyone go read Abby's blog. I command it.
